"Pierre Taki" Memorial T-shirt

[A unique collaboration]

The image source was based on the commemorative T-shirts that are released when MLB players win an annual title.
The graphics are original drawings by painter Hamaguchi Ken, who has produced numerous works with his sophisticated technique and outstanding sensibility, using motifs of music, pop culture, and subculture.

[Ken Hamaguchi Profile]
Hamaguchi Ken graduated from Tama Art University in 1997 with a major in Japanese painting.
While primarily active as an illustrator, he made his debut as an artist in 2008 at his solo exhibition "Black, Sutras, and Others" (Takahashi Collection Kagurazaka), producing paintings primarily based on music and other pop culture and subculture motifs.
Recent solo exhibitions include "Maybe the Innards of a TV?" (WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo, 2021), "Eight Views of Tokyo 2020" (un petit GARAGE, Tokyo), and "PICK YOUR GOD 2020" (WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo).

Cotton: 100%
Made from a moderately thick 6.2oz fabric that is comfortable to wear even in midsummer.
Instead of the typical "carded yarn," we use "combed yarn" which has had the short fibers removed, resulting in a smooth finish that feels pleasant against the skin.

[APPLEBUM]
Just as hip-hop was born from roots music, Applebum incorporates the sensibility of being born and raised in Tokyo, one of Asia's leading metropolises, into its clothing. This ingenious approach has earned the brand a high reputation not only in Japan, but also in New York, Paris, London and other parts of the world.
